Telemedicine

Telemedicine enhances remote care by providing follow-ups, minor consultations, and prescription renewals when an in-person visit is not immediately possible.

How Telemedicine Supports Remote Care

  • Enables virtual check-ins for ongoing conditions, post-treatment monitoring, and medication refills.

  • Provides guidance on minor health concerns when an in-clinic visit isn’t feasible.

  • Helps determine if an in-person exam is necessary for further diagnostics or treatment.

Eligibility & Limitations

  • A valid VCPR (recent in-person exam or herd health consultation) is typically required for telemedicine services.

  • In exceptional cases, a VCPR may be established through telemedicine if an in-person exam is not possible.

  • Telemedicine cannot replace physical exams, new diagnoses, or emergency care.

  • If a hands-on assessment is needed, an in-person appointment will be required.

Appointments & Fees

  • Telemedicine consultations are by appointment only and require prepayment.

  • Fees are non-refundable, even if an in-person visit is required after the consultation.
