Fear-Free Environment

At our clinic, we are dedicated to reducing Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) for all patients. We understand that veterinary visits can be stressful, and we take steps to create a calm and supportive environment for pets and their owners.

Waiting Areas

  • Separate waiting areas are provided for dogs and cats to reduce stress and minimize stimulation.

  • Pets known to be fearful or reactive may be asked to wait in their car or escorted directly to an exam room to avoid the waiting area.

Cat-Exclusive Exam Room

  • We have a cat-exclusive exam room to reduce stress from canine scents and provide a calm space for feline patients.

Staff Training & Techniques

  • Our team is trained in low-stress handling and fear-free techniques to minimize anxiety. We also use positive reinforcement to reward calm behavior.

Calming Aids

  • We may recommend the use of anti-anxiety medications to help reduce stress.

Creating a Calm Environment

  • Our clinic is designed to reduce stress through soft lighting, pheromones, calming music, and non-restraint techniques when possible.
